The Böker Hunters Knife Mono CPM is a classic hunting knife, with a state-of-the-art twist. This old-fashioned design is namely enhanced with a blade made from CPM Cru-Wear. This is state-of-the-art type of powder steel that retains its sharpness well. As such you don't have to sharpen the Böker Mono that often, even if you gut multiple pieces of game in one day.

All OK and working out the box, however fit and finish wasn't so great. The handle pins were poorly fit, two were loose and all but one had signs of multiple ill placed attempts to set them that damaged the heads of the pins making them unsightly. With some damage even to the handle scales, one scale had a small chip on the edge also, but nothing too noticable. The logo set into the scale was wonky. I re-set all the pins and got them looking tidy again, the action of the knife is now really nice and snappy, the blade is sharp and evenly ground, the handle fits nicely in the hand, although some may notice the backlock. I had expected a bit more care and attention for the price. Fine as a user, wouldn't want to give it as a gift. Mine also came in a rather nice case.
