The **Böker Manufaktur The Historical Barber White Elforyn 140224** is a top-quality straight razor. The blade height is only 6/8"". Böker has been producing straight razors for over a hundred years and has an excellent reputation in this field. This straight razor is made in the Böker workshop in Solingen, Germany.

The Historical Barber is inspired by the classic straight razors from the Wild West. And it is named after the cult barber in the western city called Pullmann City in the Harz mountains. The avant-garde interpretation of the Barber's Notch makes the razor look amazing. A nice detail is the spine of the razor which is enhanced with a wavy finish.

This straight razor has an extra hollow grind with a ridge. The extra hollow grind gives you an extremely thin edge which is also a little flexible. This razor is amazing to work with but perhaps not as suited for heavy beard growth. The ridge ensures that the spine of the blade is thick enough to be blocked by the handle. In addition, the spine provides support when determining the right sharpening angle while stropping and sharpening.

This razor is enhanced with a barbers notch and the tang behind the edge is enhanced with grip serrations on both sides. The handle is made from white Elforyn and enhanced with a black Böker logo.

## Solingen 1.2210 carbon steel

Böker used carbon steel for this straight razor. Although the technical number 1.2210 might not mean that much to most, the term Solingen has an excellent reputation worldwide. You could even say that a part of Solingen's reputation as a knife city is the result of the excellent steel quality. After sharpening it is razor-sharp which leaves you with even softer and more comfortable results.
