Full description
The Mcusta Fusion MC-163D is a razor-sharp and high-quality pocket knife, made in ‘knife town’ Seki, Japan. Although the name "Bushi Sword" suggests otherwise, this is absolute not a sword! The total opened length of 19.5 cm is an ideal size for EDC-use. The aluminum handle feels comfortable and the coloured cutouts provide a pleasant grip. An additional advantage is that aluminum is very light in weight, so you will hardly feel the Katana inside your pocket.
The blade of the Bushi Sword is a collection of Japanese techniques. The core is made of Japanese VG10 steel, which can be sharpened to a really sharp edge. This VG10 steel core is laminated between 33-layer nickel-damascus steel. The steel is hammered which they call Tsuchime in Japanese.
Opening the Mcusta Bushi Sword goes very smoothly through the double thumb stud and the characteristic nylon washers (rings) around the pivot. The blade is locked in the open position by a solid liner-lock. Unique to this knife is that they have only put one steel liner on the locking side of the handle. The pocket clip comes out of this liner and it is therefore impossible to remove or switch sides.
The Mcusta Bushi Sword is a true Japanese work of art for a great price!
