The Robert Herder 1922 series pays homage to the rich history of the Robert Herder company, with its modern interpretation of a model that was born way back in 1922. The knife is sharpened to an ultra-thin grind according to the traditional German "Solinger Dünnschliff" principle. This makes the knife an absolute pleasure to use.
As well as craftsmanship, producing a thin knife requires a strong type of steel. This is why Robert Herder uses (non-stainless) carbon steel instead of weaker stainless steel. Rinse and dry it after use and you will be able to enjoy these knives for your whole life.
This knife comes with a bottle of maintenance oil for the wooden handle.
Most of Robert Herder's knives are made by hand to order, which can mean a somewhat longer delivery time. This also means the delivery time can sometimes differ from what is indicated on our website. If a knife is listed as in stock, we do already have it in stock.
