The **Tojiro Basic F-317 chef's knife** is a simple yet effective Japanese kitchen knife. The long blade is comprised of three layers: a VG10 core surrounded by 13-chrome steel. This knife combines the best of the Western kitchen knives with the best of the Japanese kitchen knives. Easy to use and comfortable in hand. And, of course, enhanced with a razor-sharp edge.

## Tojiro Basic steel type

The blade is made from high-quality Japanese VG10 steel, laminated between two layers of 13-Chrome stainless steel. This ensures optimal sharpness and maximum corrosion resistance. The convex grind of the edge will retain its sharpness for a very long time, and it's easy to sharpen.

The lightweight handle feels great in hand. It is made from compressed layers of thin wood and synthetic resin, better known as pakkawood. This material is moisture resistant, very hygienic and firmly attached with 3 rivets for additional strength.
