Had a different set of stones. These ones show their quality straight away, I'm quite impressed.

As a professional chef,I’m extremely impressed with the quality of this stone. The surface is consistent, durable, and gives me a razor-sharp edge with minimal effort.

Great stone, removes material fairly quick, making it a smooth and fast process before moving to a finer stone. That being said, you can absolutely get a razor sharp edge on this stone as well. As all the other Shapton Kuromaku/Pro stones, i have nothing negative to say about them

Good stone, sharpens well without dishing very quickly. Splash and go means I've used this much more frequently. Quite a large working area, and price of <£50 including shipping is not a bad price considering how hard these are to find in the UK.

The product fully meets my expectations. The product is necessary to make first step of sharpening. It helps adjust blade angle and removes small indents/chirps quite fast. Product is package is perfect. Protective case can be used as base to lift stone while sharpening the blade. Cases can be easily stacked. Highly recommended.

This is my first stone & I got it as a "lonely" stone for household purposes - sharpening kitchen knives, scissors, etc. I got a cheap one before (5% of this one's price) to see if I like the vibe of sharpening and I have to say learning on a quality stone helps a lot. This stone really has good feedback (you can feel the friction & know when you're making something sharper), it is very durable (wears slowly) and the case that also serves as a base is great to have. This stone meets expectations as a single stone, unless you have damaged blades. I made some leather strops for removing burr & finishing, but even without strops, this stone can put a very sharp edge on anything (with proper deburring).

Very good sharpening stone for it's price ! Not even comparable to ordinary combo stones

The stone is exactly as I expected and thats a good thing, because I see why everyone is recommending this stone as one stone for all your sharpening needs for basically the rest of my life
