DMT DiaFold diamond file, coarse, FFC

This DMT DiaFold diamond-coated file is great when sharpening difficult-to-sharpen products. Think of bits, pruning shears and other small tools. The file is only 1.5 mm thick and tapered from 6 mm to 19 mm. The diamond-coated sharpening surface is applied to one side of the file. With its coarse grain you can use this file to quickly restore a damaged edge.

The great thing about the DiaFold sharpeners is that they work like a type of butterfly knife. When closed the handle protects the sharpening stone. As such you can easily carry the DMT Diafold sharpener in your bag or jacket pocket.

Good to know

You can use the DMT sharpeners with or without water. The advantage of sharpening with water is that the stone is lubricated and the sharpening residue is removed. Only use water, never oil. It is also good to know that a diamond-coated sharpening stone must be sharpened as well. A new sharping stone removes quite a lot of material. Only after 5 to 10 knives does the stone have its final effect.
