Full description
This bread knife has been manually sharpened with the ‘Solinger Dünnschliff’technology. This results in a razor-sharp knife. This knife has been proclaimed to be 'the best bread knife in the world', by the renowned culinary journalist Wouter Klootwijk. This is due to the deeply cut serrations and the cutting properties which this provides. The convex shape is derived from the natural swaying motion of a hand when cutting. The high blade makes it possible to cut very thin slices of bread.
The particular shape of this bread knife is called ' Bosscher '. This term is descended from the Dutch ' bos' (forest). The origin of this knife is found at the sugar plantations in the Dutch colonies.
Robert Herder knives are largely hand-made, which may cause for a longer delivery time. This can also mean that the delivery time on our website can be subject to change. When the knife is ‘in stock’ we have received it from the factory and can ship it out to you.
