Swarovski binoculars cost more than fine optics from another brand. You only notice that difference in the field. The image stays steady during long viewing sessions and sharpness does not fade at the edges. Every Swarovski is made in Austria and comes with a 10 years warranty against material and manufacturing defects. Maintenance is simple. Blow or brush sand off the lenses before using a cloth, use a lens cloth instead of a paper tissue, and store the binoculars somewhere dry. Swarovski series

Swarovski divides the range into four lines. They mainly differ in size, light transmission and price.

Swarovski CL

The compact entry point. Light, small enough for a jacket pocket or daypack, yet with the optics you expect from the brand. The Swarovski CL series is for walkers and travellers who do not want a kilo hanging around their neck.

Swarovski EL

This line has an open bridge, so you can wrap your thumbs around it and the binoculars sit steadily in both hands. That helps during long observation sessions, which is why you often see the Swarovski EL series with birders.

Swarovski NL Pure

The widest field of view in the range, with a slim waist that sits naturally in the hand. Made for anyone who wants the image to move with a bird or game animal. This is what the Swarovski NL Pure series looks like.

Swarovski SLC

Binoculars

From pocket models that fit in a jacket pocket to optics with large objective lenses for twilight. The body is made of aluminium, with a rubber covering that absorbs knocks and scratches.

Accessories

Carrying straps and harnesses that shift the weight from your neck to your shoulders, cleaning sets for lens and body, and adapter rings to mount a camera or phone behind the eyepiece. About Swarovski Optik

Swarovski Optik started in 1949 in Absam, a village in Tyrol. Wilhelm Swarovski, son of the founder of the crystal company, was an amateur astronomer who wanted to get closer to the stars. Using the glass and grinding techniques from his father’s factory, he designed his own prism and used it to build his first binoculars, a 6x30. The first model to leave the production line in Absam was the Habicht 7x42.

Habicht is German for hawk, and that bird still appears in the logo. The green housing has also remained ever since. The company is still based in Absam and still produces there, for the same customer as in 1949: anyone who looks outdoors.
