## What is paracord 550 type III?

## Is 50 ft enough?


If you are not sure how much paracord you will need you can use the following rule of thumb: 'for every cm you will need 12 cm of paracord'. Let's say you want to make a 20 cm bracelet. All you have to do is add up 20 x 12 and you will know you need 240 cm. Incredibly practical! As such you know in seconds if a bundle of 50 ft will be enough! It does, however, depend on which knot you will use, that is why should always use a couple of extra cm of paracord. If you do you know you will always have enough.

### Knivesandtools Micro Cord


Knivesandtools Micro Cord Made in USA is a practical tool for various purposes. Micro Cord is in fact paracord, but without the strands in the middle. So only the braided casing. What remains is an incredibly strong piece of rope with a tractive force of approximately 80, 90 pounds (36, 40 kg), and a diameter of only 1.12 mm. This Micro Cord is added to a choil and has a total length of 125 ft (38.1 meters).

Military Spec Paracord, or MIL-C-5040 Paracord adheres to all set military requirements and is therefore used by soldiers and police units. This nylon cord is comprised of a core of seven thin strands, of which the core strand is comprised of three layers of braided strands. The whole is tied together a little tighter than normal paracord, but is still more flexible in use. Mil-spec paracord has a special colour marker in the core of the cord. New Kershaw 2021 knives: nothing but innovation

DPx Gear represents real world survival knives and seriously useable tools. The **ESEE Izula** has an overall length of **15.9 cm** and a skeletonised handle. This makes the knife ultra-light - only **56g** - and ideal as a neck knife or compact backup knife. The blade is 6.7 cm long, which is more than enough for most tasks. The **ESEE Izula 2** has the same blade length of 6.7 cm, but is slightly longer overall: **17.8 cm**. This is due to the extended handle, which, thanks to the **micarta scales**, offers more comfort, especially during prolonged use. Because of this extra material, the Izula 2 weighs slightly more: **96g**.

### The ESEE Imlay

The [ESEE Imlay](kato://product/EE-IMLAY) is a rescue knife based on the ESEE Izula. The knife is safe for emergency situations thanks to the blunt tip and the retention strap securing the knife inside the sheath. To make it even more suitable for rescue tasks such as cutting fibrous material like a car belt, the cut is partially serrated. The knife is made of 440C steel, a stainless steel that is easy to sharpen. As a result, the knife is pretty low maintenance.
