A Dutch Oven is a cast-iron pan you can use to bake, roast, fry, stew and grill. A proper Dutch Oven comes with a lid with raised edges which has enough room for coals. With this method you can turn the pan into an oven to prepare the most delicious pizzas, breads, pies and casseroles.

Cozy up around the fire with a fire pit

A fire pit is an atmospheric ‘dish’ you can use to build a fire responsibly. A fire pit is made from fire resistant material such as cast-iron or steel and is often enhanced with multiple feet. But that is not all, there are many accessories out there that turn using a fire pit into a real experience. Prick marshmallows on a stick and grill them over an open flame. Gas stoves are compact and weigh next to nothing. For this reason they are often used by campers, mountaineers and backpackers.
