Kizer Smolt knives

A fixed knife that no one minds carrying, that is about as close as the Kizer Smolt gets. Jonathan Styles kept the profile flat and the handle slim, without a millimetre of mass that does not matter. Less is more, and here it works.

Why the Kizer Smolt carries so flat

The Smolt is for anyone who would rather carry a fixed knife than a folding knife, but does not want to walk around with a bushcraft knife on their belt. Everything about the design is aimed at that. The profile stays flat, the handle is kept slim, and the textured inlay sits flush with the handle scales instead of on top of them. That saves thickness and gives grip, without the knife feeling rough.

The kydex sheath it comes with has an IWB clip. That lets you carry the Smolt inside the waistband, flat against the body, or simply on your belt. At the end of the handle there is a lanyard hole for paracord, handy if you want to secure the knife to a backpack or to your wrist.

Within the series, Kizer switches between steel and handle material, from stainless steel that is easy to sharpen to tough powder steel. If you want something by the same designer with more blade, the Kizer Cabox is the logical step up.
