Features of the CRKT Counterpart series

The Counterpart lives up to its name. Weighing only 59 grams, it is the ideal counterpart to all the lightweight, versatile pocket knives that came before it. Simple and functional, the design includes only what's necessary.

Design of the CRKT Counterpart

The Counterpart knives are made for everyday cutting tasks. Think of opening packaging, cutting rope or small chores in and around the house. During walks or short outdoor activities, the knife can be used for light woodwork, such as making tinder or adjusting a tent peg. The shape of the handle ensures that the knife lies stably in the hand and provides sufficient control during cutting, despite its low weight.

Materials and variants of the CRKT Counterpart

The blade is made of 12C27 steel, a stainless steel known for its combination of toughness, sharpness retention and ease of sharpening. The handle is made of FRN (Fibre Reinforced Nylon), a light and strong plastic that is often used in pocket knives for everyday use. Several versions are available within the Counterpart series, including a standard version and the Counterpart Tactical with a black finish and tanto blade.
