Features of the Vosteed Psyop
A striking feature of the Vosteed Psyop is the Top Liner Lock (TLL) locking system. This system combines elements of a liner lock and a button lock and is therefore operated via a button on the top of the handle. This allows you to safely unlock the knife without bringing your fingers near the blade. Combined with the ceramic ball bearings, this ensures exceptionally smooth operation. Many users also appreciate the Psyop for its so-called “fidget factor”. The knife is easy to open and close, which makes using it extra enjoyable.
Vosteed Psyop: the blade
The Vosteed Psyop features a drop-point blade, making it an excellent size for everyday use. Depending on the model, the blade is made from high-quality steels such as Elmax or S35VN, known for their excellent wear resistance, corrosion resistance and long-lasting sharpness.
The practical drop-point shape offers a good balance between cutting power and precision. This makes the Psyop suitable for a wide range of EDC tasks, such as opening packaging, cutting rope or preparing food on the go.
Vosteed Psyop: the handle
The handle of the Vosteed Psyop is designed for maximum ergonomics and stability. Depending on the model, the grip is made from materials such as milled titanium, micarta or G10.
The shape of the handle and the clearly defined finger grip ensure a firm grip, even during intensive use. Some users do note that the large finger choil takes up some of the cutting length, but this actually gives you extra control when cutting.
Vosteed Psyop: multiple variants
The Vosteed Psyop is available in a range of versions, featuring different materials and finishes. These include models with titanium handles, a “mini” version with attractive bolsters and thumb rests, Micarta scales, or G10 handles. The grades of steel and blade finishes used may also vary depending on the version.
This means that there is always a Vosteed Psyop that perfectly suits both the collector’s and the practical user’s personal preferences and intended use.

Yue, a designer and co-founder of Vosteed, developed a passion for knives at a young age thanks to his father’s collection; who used his knives in his work as a biologist. Whilst studying at the University of Oklahoma, Yue’s interest grew further through research into the role of tools in human evolution. With access to design software and a workshop, he began designing knives himself. When it comes to knife design, he is a strong advocate of combining functionality with a certain “fidget” factor. One of his main priorities is therefore to develop new locking mechanisms that make using knives even more enjoyable.
