Böker Kihon

The Böker Plus Kihon pocket knife originated from a collaboration between Böker and Lucas Burnley. For many years, the knife manufacturer from the knife city of Solingen and the American custom knifemaker have worked together successfully. His enthusiasm for Japanese-inspired pocket knives is once again reflected in the minimalist and sleek design.

Böker Plus Kihon pocket knife

The design of the Böker Plus Kihon comes from the US, while series production takes place in Asia. As a result, the Böker Plus Kihon models can be offered at attractive prices, so you get solid EDC pocket knives for everyday cutting tasks without paying too much. As with all Böker Plus models, Böker also offers a lifetime warranty on material and finish for Böker Plus Kihon pocket knives.

Böker Plus Kihon DC

Another model in the Kihon series is the Böker Plus Kihon DC. Unlike the standard model, this one has a Crossbar Lock and a drop-point blade made from different types of steel that are wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant. Lightweight materials such as FRN and aluminium are used as material for the handle. All variants can be opened with a thumb stud, which can also be removed if necessary.

Böker Kihon Bifold – made in Solingen

Knives from Solingen are classics and have been produced for centuries. Since 2012, the city has therefore also officially been called “Klingenstadt”, which means knife city. At Böker Manufaktur Solingen, too, pocket knives, fixed knives, razors and kitchen knives have been handmade since 1869. Although the Böker Plus Kihon models are manufactured in Asia, Böker continues at the same time to rely on genuine craftsmanship from Solingen, because it goes without saying that this traditional brand not only produces internationally, but also still manufactures selected knives in its own factory. One such example is the Böker Kihon Bifold, a slimmer, handcrafted-in-Solingen interpretation of the Kihon design.
